Nuffield Ave Bathroom Update
Tom is one of those clients every builder loves working with — practical, positive, and great to communicate with. We first met when he needed a small repair done at his previous home, and after a smooth experience, he reached out again for a bigger challenge: a full bathroom update at his new place on Nuffield Avenue.
The existing bathroom had seen better days. A leaking shower had caused damage behind the linings, and Tom decided it was the perfect time to give the space a full refresh. Together, we discussed a range of options to suit his budget — from a full re-do to a more streamlined, cost-effective approach that would still deliver a great finish.
In the end, we went for a complete rip-out and rebuild. We installed new wall and ceiling linings, insulation, a modern shower, and a sleek vanity, creating a clean, functional space that feels brand new.
Because the bathroom was small, scheduling subcontractors became the biggest challenge — there was barely room for two people to work at once. But with careful coordination, we managed to keep things flowing smoothly, and had Tom back to showering within just eight days of starting demolition.
The finished result is simple, tidy, and works beautifully for everyday use — a big transformation for a modest budget.
Client feedback:
“I’d used Brett before on a small repair job at a previous house. Because of that great experience, I got him to do a bathroom renovation/refresh on the current house — removal of the old shower-over-bath, and install of a new shower and vanity.
I was on a pretty tight budget, so Brett gave options for both a full re-do and a more cost-effective solution. He arranged the plumber, plasterer, and floorer, gave options for fittings, and kept communication top notch.
The end result was great — and even came in slightly under the estimated amount.”
